Levels 2 and 3 Belly Dance

This class is designed for students who have mastered the fundamental tools of the dance introduced in level 1 and are prepared for new techniques, variations, combinations and finger cymbal patterns. Some specialty techniques/props are also introduced.

In this mixed level class, we will draw upon an expanded curriculum to expose dancers of level 2, 3, and beyond to different movements, technique variations, stylizations, combinations, and finger cymbal patterns and to build solid technique. Instructor feedback, focus and variations are tailored to the students at different levels. Level 2 students will be coached for proper form and technique. Higher level dancers will also receive additional instruction on layering, more complex variations, and polishing techniques to help them intensify and extend the learning experience. There will also be more focus on developing dance style and presentation skills.

Fees:

Due to the cumulative nature of the material, first time beginners should register for the full session; returning students may select any option. If you need to miss a class, you may attend any regular Aalim School class at either location as a make up class within the same session.
