Technique Concentration, Combinations, and Dance Flow
Technique Concentration classes are designed for continuing belly dance students. The class will focus on certain techniques each week, however it differs from other technique concentration classes in that we will not only teach and drill technique variations, we will also work on ways to make these movements your own! We'll work on incorporating the technique with other movements, in combinations, and in dance flow, working with presentation, arms and hands, finger cymbals, and movement combinations. The class is taught as a mixed level class, with different levels receiving appropriate variations and feedback. Some exercises will help build proficiency and mastery, others may stretch and challenge you, but it will all be lots of fun!
Recommended Level: Levels 2 through 4. Students should be at least comfortable/proficient with all foundational level 1 technique and prepared for level 2. Higher level students will be instructed with more complex technique variations and combinations.
